Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Facilities team for Summer 2026. You will contribute to HVAC and building systems projects, working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects and designers.

You'll gain hands-on experience, mentoring, and exposure to industry software while building your skills in data collection, coordination, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Interest in designing building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping utilities, for buildings and facilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support state-of-the-art facilities projects focused on HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Assist with project coordination, data collection, and use of computer-aided engineering software.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and designers to deliver project outcomes.
