Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Facilities team for summer 2026. If you are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with an interest in building systems this is the perfect opportunity for you!

You will work on HVAC and building mechanical systems, be mentored by engineers, and gain exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and more, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or another closely related field
• Interest in designing building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping utilities, for buildings and facilities
• Familiarity with Revit or other 3D software is a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Involves state-of-the-art facilities projects focused on HVAC and building mechanical systems
• Support multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and designers, with mentorship throughout internship
• Gain exposure to project coordination, computer-assisted engineering software, data collection, and more
