Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Advanced Facilities team for summer 2026. You will contribute to state-of-the-art facilities projects focused on HVAC and building mechanical systems, mentored by a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects and designers.

You will develop skills in project coordination, CAD/BIM software and data collection while supporting critical projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or another closely related field.
• Interest in designing building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping utilities, for buildings and facilities.
• Previous internship experience with a design/consulting firm or manufacturing company (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with state-of-the-art facilities projects focused on HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Support project coordination, data collection, and use of computer-aided engineering software under mentorship.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and designers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
