Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Facilities team for summer 2026 across North America. If you are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with an interest in building systems, this is a great opportunity to apply classroom learning to real projects.

You'll work on state-of-the-art facilities projects focused on HVAC and building mechanical systems, supported by a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and designers, with mentorship and hands-on

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree or closely related field.
• Interest in designing building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping.
• Familiarity with Revit or other 3D software.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC and building mechanical systems design and coordination.
• Support multidisciplinary team with data collection and project tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and designers on project delivery.
