Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Columbus, OH offers a 10-12 week Mechanical Intern summer program. You will support design portions of mechanical systems, assist with equipment research, and help coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical teams while documenting decisions.

You'll work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on project exposure across industrial, manufacturing, and MEP-focused work, and build skills in design consulting, BIM, and MS Office in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Strong interest in design consulting and ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of mechanical systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment resources
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to final check
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and provide other services required by the contract services agreement
