Job summary

IMEG Corp in Chicago, IL is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern position for a 10-12 week summer program. You will work with a team of engineers on real project work, supporting design, documentation, and site observations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience not required for internship.
• Strong interest in design consulting and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations and documentation for permanent record files.
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines including architectural, structural, electrical, and equipment suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support contract services.
