Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering College Co-op in the Detroit area to support manufacturing and engineering operations. You will perform time studies, track cycle times, and create reports while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires pursuing a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 32 hours per week of availability year-round.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree full-time at an accredited college or university, preferably in a Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering major.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday, year-round.

Responsibilities

• Conducts time studies and cycle time checks.
• Creates performance-based reports
• Conducts delay studies to loss areas and help identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assists Manufacturing team with implementation of lean concepts in manufacturing and assembly department.
• All other duties as assigned.
