Job summary

HX5, LLC is seeking an Engineering Co-op in Brook Park, Ohio to join the NASA Glenn Research Center GEARS contract on a part-time basis. The role focuses on mechanical engineering support and hands-on testing.

The student will assist with thermal systems analysis, build a test rig, model results, and apply CAD and Excel to develop computer models. Collaboration with NASA researchers and the HX5 team is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Ability to apply thermodynamics and heat transfer concepts to aerospace components.
• Experience with CAD and data modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support NASA researchers with thermal systems analysis and testing.
• Assist in building a test rig for heat exchangers and drone wings.
• Develop computer models to predict and correlate test results.
• Present data and assist with project decisions as part of a team.
