Job summary

Hallmark is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement products, tooling, and manufacturing processes. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic thinking, crossfunctional leadership, and innovation that drives business impact.

The ideal candidate will master product design concepts, support production and quality teams, and collaborate across operations, supply chain, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering degree, with a graduation date of Dec 2026.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment (preferred).
• Experience with equipment and/or building maintenance (preferred).
• Familiarity with Lean principles (preferred).
• Project management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own assigned mechanical design and engineering tasks for products, tooling, and production processes from concept through implementation.
• Develop performance specifications, design concepts, and future-state solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentation.
• Support production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving design and process-related issues on existing products and equipment.
• Coordinate crossfunctional activities with operations, quality, supply chain, vendors, and customers to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and strategic partnerships that advance manufacturing and distribution capabilities.

The ideal candidate is recognized as a strong mechanical engineering expert, and comfortable operating across product design, manufacturing, cost, and operations.

The Mechanical Engineer will

• Own assigned mechanical design and engineering tasks for products, tooling, and production processes from concept through implementation
• Develop performance specifications, design concepts, and futurestate solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency
• Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentation
• Support production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving design and processrelated issues on existing products and equipment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Experience with equipment and/or building maintenance
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Experience with SAP and/or Manhattan
• Project management experience
• Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions
• Familiarity with Lean principles

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• This job could be in our production facility in Leavenworth, KS OR our distribution center in Liberty, MO. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
