Job summary

Hallmark seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement products, tooling, and manufacturing processes, blending hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to drive meaningful business impact.

The ideal candidate will own mechanical design tasks from concept through implementation, create detailed drawings, support production, and collaborate across operations, quality, supply chain, and vendors to meet milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering degree (graduation Dec 2026).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned mechanical design and engineering tasks for products, tooling, and production processes from concept through implementation.
  • Develop performance specifications, design concepts, and futurestate solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Support production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving design and process-related issues on existing products and equipment.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional activities with operations, quality, supply chain, vendors, and customers to meet project schedules and milestones.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and strategic partnerships that advance manufacturing and distribution capabilities.

Hallmark is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical skills in the design, development, and implementation of products, tooling, and manufacturing processes. This role blends handson mechanical engineering with strategic thinking, crossfunctional leadership, and innovation that drives meaningful business impact.

The ideal candidate is recognized as a strong mechanical engineering expert, and comfortable operating across product design, manufacturing, cost, and operations.

The Mechanical Engineer will
  • Own assigned mechanical design and engineering tasks for products, tooling, and production processes from concept through implementation
  • Develop performance specifications, design concepts, and futurestate solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency
  • Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering degree, with a graduation date of Dec 2026
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience with equipment and/or building maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill
  • Experience with SAP and/or Manhattan
  • Project management experience
  • Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions
  • Familiarity with Lean principles

  • This job could be in our production facility in Leavenworth, KS OR our distribution center in Liberty, MO. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
