Job summary

Advance Technology Systems Company seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate Counter-UAS hardware. You will develop ruggedized mechanical systems, sensor housings, and deployable structures for mobile and fixed platforms, with emphasis on thermal management and EMI shielding.

You will perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses, create CAD models in SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA, and collaborate with RF, electrical, and systems teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, defense/aerospace preferred.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA).
• Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing ruggedized hardware for outdoor or military environments.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/461.
• Ability to perform FEA, thermal, and vibration analyses.
• Team player in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for C-UAS platforms.
• Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses.
• Integrate radar, RF, EO/IR, and countermeasure systems.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and docs with SolidWorks/Creo.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure manufacturability.
• Collaborate with electrical, RF, embedded teams.
• Oversee prototype fabrication and testing.
• Address IP, EMI shielding, and thermal dissipation.
• Support field testing at test ranges or customer sites.
• Interface with vendors to meet quality and cost targets.
