Job summary

ATC is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group. This role designs and delivers innovative sensing systems for space, airborne, and terrestrial applications, and provides technical direction across programs.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, own critical mechanical subsystems, and contribute to system architectures from concept through deployment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related technical field.
• 5–10+ years designing mechanical systems for aerospace/defense environments.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, NX).
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and drawing standards.
• Hands-on experience supporting design reviews, integration, and test activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and enclosures for sensors.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, RF, and Firmware engineers.
• Perform analyses to validate designs against environmental requirements.
• Support mechanical integration, testing, and environmental qualification.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Lead technical trade studies and participate in proposals.
