Own mechanical design and architecture for robot subsystems, including arms, hands, torso, actuators, and end effectors, from concept through production and field deployment. Rapidly prototype, analyze, test, and refine hardware while coordinating with controls, electrical, and software teams and helping develop the hardware team.
Requirements: Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated ability, plus at least three years designing and shipping complex electromechanical hardware. Candidates should have strong CAD, mechanisms, materials, power transmission, manufacturing, tolerancing, GD&T, and hands-on machining skills, with a record of owning hardware from concept to working system.
