BlueHalo is seeking Mechanical Engineers to work onsite in Germantown, MD or Albuquerque, NM, contributing to the design, analysis, integration, and testing of advanced RF and electromechanical systems for aerospace and defense missions.

You will design, analyze, and prototype mechanical components, create and maintain CAD models and documentation, and collaborate across RF, electrical, FPGA, software, systems, manufacturing, and test teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, chassis, fixtures, payloads, and support equipment for RF and electromechanical systems.
• Create and maintain SolidWorks/ CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation with configuration control.
• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and tolerance analyses using ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or equivalent.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFx principles for manufacturability/assembly.
• Develop electronics packaging and thermal-management solutions, including heatsinks and conduction cooling.
• Collaborate with RF, electrical, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and test teams.
• Support full product lifecycle from prototyping to field support and production.
• Participate in design reviews and process improvements; manage documentation/control.
• Investigate issues and support root-cause and corrective actions; travel to sites as needed.
