Job summary

AeroVironment seeks Electrical Engineers to design, develop, integrate, and test advanced electronic systems for aerospace applications. Positions span multiple experience levels and involve collaboration across systems, mechanical, RF, software, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include cable assemblies, schematics, verification, and production support, with mentorship opportunities for senior staff. Albuquerque, NM or Germantown, MD locations; travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical design, hardware development, cable assembly design or verification.
• Fundamentals of circuit design, schematic development, wiring diagrams, and lab equipment.
• Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot hardware, and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational and documentation skills.
• US citizen and ability to obtain security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, integrate, and test analog/digital/mixed-signal RF and embedded systems.
• Develop ruggedized cable assemblies and interconnect solutions for harsh environments.
• Define cable assembly requirements including electrical performance, shielding, grounding, and routing.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, PCB layouts, and interface documentation.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulations, power/signal integrity assessments.
• Support hardware development from requirements to field support; collaborate across teams.
• Develop and execute test plans, verification procedures, and acceptance criteria.
