Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have a valid driver's license.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Preferred: instrumentation and controls familiarity and related paper-industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, and reliability expectations.
• Provide technical support to maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs and spare parts planning.
• Support outages with planning, coordination, training, and contractor management.
• Use root cause failure analysis and data to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
• Coordinate capital projects from scope through completion (for Mechanical Project Engineer).
• Develop project justifications, cost estimates, designs, schedules, and startup plans.
• Manage project costs, timelines, and internal customer expectations.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and suppliers to deliver on-time, on-budget projects.
