Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of demonstrated experience designing mechanical or electromechanical equipment.
• Advanced skills in SolidWorks 3D modeling.
• Proven time management in deadline-driven environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS security clearance.
• US Citizen eligible for DoD clearance.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and rapid-design in a fast-paced environment using 3D printing and mockups.
• Prepare 3D models and GD&T input for manufacturing drawings.
• Lead moderate to advanced mechanical design projects.
• Collaborate with engineering staff and outside vendors.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing processes (milling, lathe, waterjet, laser).
• Perform simulations and mechanical testing; document results.
