Job summary

Digital Check Corp seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive design and production support for nextScan and related products in Meridian, Idaho. You will own system architecture, design for manufacturability, and hands-on collaboration with manufacturing, procurement, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes SolidWorks design creation, ECN/PCN processes, and IP-conscious development while guiding vendor selections and supporting post-sales service needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• SolidWorks experience required or equivalent CAD skills.

Responsibilities

• System architecture, design, review, & implementation.
• Product design & implementation.
• Mechanical component & material selection.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) considerations.
• Design for Service (DFS) considerations.
• Create and update SolidWorks drawings and maintain in PDM.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and finance for vendor and part selections.
• Assist Production Manager with vendor management.
• Initiate, review, and approve ECN and PCN.
• Willingness to work on the manufacturing floor to support quality & reliability.
• Identify and develop patentable technology; assist IP protection where needed.
