Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician in Nampa, Idaho, to join the Product Support and Development - Mechanical team. The role blends hands-on design, problem solving, and collaboration with customers to implement safe, reliable, and economical mechanical solutions.

CAD work and SolidWorks analysis feature prominently on the production floor. You will participate in design reviews, work in a small agile team, and help deliver projects on time

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Applied physics, geometry, algebra, and basic trigonometry knowledge.
• CAD experience and ability to build or tweak designs.
• 2+ years in multiple mechanical domains listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing mechanical solutions for safer, more reliable production.
• Perform CAD work and solids analyses; contribute to design reviews.
• Collaborate in agile teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Support production staff and help validate concepts on the shop floor.
