Job summary

A&D Weighing, Inc. in Idaho is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of industrial inspection and automation systems, including X-ray inspection, checkweighers, and vision systems.

You will own projects from concept through production, balancing technical requirements with schedule, cost, and quality, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance and collaborating with manufacturing and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in electro-mechanical design, development, or support of automation equipment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Strong project management and organization with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of electro-mechanical systems for industrial inspection and automation.
• Develop and maintain mechanical designs, electrical systems, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Apply DFM, DFA, reliability, serviceability, and safety principles to new and existing products.
• Manage project schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables from concept to production release.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to milestones, resolve technical challenges, and ensure deliverables.
• Develop specifications for purchased components, parts, tooling, and equipment.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Service teams to resolve production and field issues; drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
