Job summary

INTERMOUNTAIN ELECTRONICS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems using CAD tools. You will prepare drawings, estimates, and design specifications while coordinating with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to support production.

You will evaluate designs for performance, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, leveraging strong mechanical, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software.
• Strong mechanical, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• MSHA certifications and forklift certification must be held or obtained within stated timeframes; a PE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems, components, and equipment using CAD tools, including preparing drawings, estimates, and design specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams; support production.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, quality, and compliance with applicable codes.
