AMETEK Solidstate Controls seeks a Mechanical Engineer with Project Management & Product Development to lead the design, improvement, and project execution of UPS, Battery Charger sources, and Bargraph indicators. You will work across Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Service to deliver on time and within budget.

ROLE emphasizes mechanical design, NPI/Sustaining activities, and VAVE-driven cost reductions while maintaining performance and reliability in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical design and product-development experience.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling/CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor) and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal design, enclosures, PCB/display integration, and assembly processes.
• Strong communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design input and manufacturability improvements for UPS, Battery Charger, and Bargraph products, troubleshooting enclosure, harness, hardware, and assembly issues.
• Support SCI new-product introduction and sustaining-engineering activities from concept through production release.
• Lead project management for Bargraph initiatives from initiation through delivery, defining scope, schedules, and resource needs.
• Serve as the mechanical engineering point of contact across the UPS, Battery Charger, and Bargraph product lines with cross-functional teams.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable engineering solutions and align designs with field-support needs.
• Work with Manufacturing and Quality to resolve production concerns and update drawings/BOMs.
