Job summary

SSR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to apply standard design techniques on small projects, support analyses and drawings, coordinate with the architect and other disciplines, and communicate with clients while developing toward responsible charge under senior engineers.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college with four years of experience and a Registered Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited college with four years applicable experience in discipline design and analysis.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Begin assuming responsible charge for portions of project designs under supervision of the EOR.
• Develop design approaches and analyses using industry software.
• Oversee preparation of drawings and documentation; ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with architect and other disciplines; communicate design requirements clearly.
• Attend meetings with owners/clients/architects and document decisions.
• Assist with discipline man-hour budgets; plan work and report progress.
