Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) is seeking a licensed engineer to lead portions of project designs under supervision, delivering accurate drawings and analyses. You will coordinate with architects and other disciplines, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering education and a PE license, with experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and industry tools. SSR offers ESOP ownership, retirement benefits, health coverage, and professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college with four years of applicable experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) credential required.
• Experience leading design tasks and coordinating with arquitect/engineers and other disciplines.
• Proficiency with industry software (Revit, AutoCAD) and discipline tools.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for portions of project designs under supervision and as authorized.
• Develop design approaches with EOR input; perform studies and analyses using industry software.
• Oversee drawings/documentation; ensure accuracy and adherence to standards; review peers' work.
• Coordinate design space requirements with architect and other disciplines; communicate clearly.
• Attend meetings; document decisions and action items; track progress and changes.
• Coordinate with authorities to ensure code and government requirements are met.
