Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a mechanical engineer to conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for mechanical aspects of projects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes to meet complex project requirements.

Positions are available on Nuclear, Security & Environmental projects with potential sites in Oak Ridge, TN; Knoxville, TN; Reston, VA; and Ogden, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or international equivalent.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years total experience.
• Must have completed 4 years of active-duty military service in US Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates.
• Lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, designs, and proposals for mechanical projects.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry codes.
