Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to service support, upgrade design projects, and manage component obsolescence with guidance. The role includes participation in New Product Development Service Readiness and performing Change Originator/Analyst duties.

Responsibilities include ERP-based project launches, design of upgrade kits, BOM creation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with 4 years’ experience is acceptable.
• Strong planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills; team-oriented.
• Experience with CAD and PLM/ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support part setup in ERP for Project Dominion launch.
• Design service upgrade kits and component substitutes.
• Create drawings and BOMs for upgrade kits.
• Review and approve engineering changes in Oracle PD Cloud.
• Provide training and escalated support during release of upgrade kits.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and vendors for quotes as needed.
