Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, DC Power to develop mechanical product designs and integration content for Modular Power Converters. You will produce design layouts, perform tolerance analyses, and document interfaces and assembly procedures for customer packages.

You will verify buildability and alignment with customer requirements while coordinating with manufacturing and engineering teams. The role emphasizes creating clear customer-ready specifications and ensuring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and 2+ years of mechanical product design experience.
Experience with layout drawings, assembly docs, and tolerance stack-up analysis required.
Proficiency in GD&T for multi-component assemblies is essential.
Ability to define assembly sequences and mechanical interfaces with customer needs in mind.
Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent for layouts and documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop product design layout drawings for modules, shelves, and cabinets.
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to verify fit and function across assemblies.
Define system assembly sequences and integration procedures for modular DC power configs.
Document mechanical connections, interfaces, and cable routing.
Create site footprint and interface dimensions with customer infrastructure.
Coordinate with DFM to ensure manufacturability of proposed configurations.
Review mechanical designs for accuracy against customer site expectations.
Ensure requirements traceability with corresponding specifications.
Collaborate to ensure mechanical and electrical package content is consistent.
