Regal Rexnord in Radford, VA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Current Products to advance motors, actuators, and motion control solutions. You will develop mechanical designs, perform analyses, validate performance, and support customer applications.

You will collaborate with electromagnetic, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams while managing multiple projects and delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience using 3D CAD software for mechanical design and documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanics, materials, and machine design.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Experience conducting engineering analysis and supporting validation.
• Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and perform design analysis including FEA, thermal, dynamic evaluations.
• Lead design reviews and communicate design intent to customers.
• Create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and ECN documentation.
• Validate designs through testing to meet standards and specs.
• Provide technical support to customers and field personnel.
• Support sales by evaluating RFQs and preparing proposal drawings.
