Job summary

WSP USA, via kW Mission Critical Engineering, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our Houston, TX or Dallas, TX office. You will design complex cooling and HVAC systems for mission-critical facilities, including air distribution, chiller plants, and energy solutions, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant design experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years designing mechanical systems for high-performing, commercial, industrial or data-center buildings.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and Pipeflow; knowledge of building/energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Independently support the project team during design and construction stages.
• Design air distribution, hydronic and automated controls systems for facilities.
• Oversee mechanical design integrity and review drawings prior to issue.
• Develop drawings/specifications for architects, contractors and owners.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions; maintain client relationships.
