Job summary

Cerokee Federal is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead Sub-AMP development and lifecycle planning for critical base infrastructure at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. You will assess HVAC, water, wastewater, and gas systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support DoD project requirements.

Qualifications include a PE license (or eligible), a mechanical engineering degree, and at least five years in mechanical engineering with military facility experience. CAC required; remote work not offered.

Qualifications

• Proven PE license or in good standing with ability to obtain PE licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution within the 50 United States.
• Minimum five years of mechanical-engineering experience.
• Minimum three years of military facility or infrastructure experience.
• CAC required and ability to pass DoD background checks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze BUILDER SMS and Utilities SMS data to develop mechanical Sub-AMPs.
• Prepare five-year and ten-year mechanical infrastructure forecasts and lifecycle investment plans.
• Assess condition and capacity of water, wastewater, HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems.
• Identify mechanical-utility risks, including single points of failure, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Identify energy-conservation and optimization opportunities and prepare return-on-investment analyses.
• Translate AMP priorities into project requirements, statements of work, cost-estimate inputs, and DD Form 1391 inputs.
• Conduct physical inventories and support Sustainment Management System updates.
• Coordinate with planners, engineers, environmental staff, mission partners, and other stakeholders.
