Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to assist in designing, modeling, and testing mechanical systems. You’ll work with CAD tools like Creo Parametric and CATIA, update Bills of Materials, and collaborate with global engineering teams.

You will perform engineering calculations, support assembly on prototype and production builds, and engage with suppliers and internal teams to solve problems. A Bachelor's degree trajectory in mechanical eng is required.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and test new mechanical systems.
• Research and execute on CIRs to support manufacturing and feedback/operations.
• Prepare/revise/review vehicle component layouts using CAD (Creo Parametric).
• Create and manage ECNs using PLM system.
• Update BOMs to reflect product changes.
• Provide technical assistance on prototype/production builds.
• Generate calculations of weight distribution, stress analysis, performance estimations.
