Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an R&D Engineering Intern to work with engineers and technicians in a hands-on environment. You will support prototype builds, testing, and fabrication while learning CAD and shop processes.

The role offers exposure to Creo Parametric, CAM programming, and data collection in a heavy manufacturing setting, alongside cross-functional collaboration on product development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specs.
• Interest in hands-on heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or R&D shop.

Responsibilities

• Support design, fabrication, assembly, testing and modification of vehicles and subsystems.
• Create and revise engineering drawings and layouts using CAD software.
• Assist with machining setups, tooling, welding and instrumented test setups.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
