Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the team in safety, quality and productivity initiatives. You will work on workstation layouts, tooling, time studies and new product launches, gaining hands-on experience across a manufacturing floor.

You will audit docs, assist with layouts and develop fabrication methods, while learning ERP software and contributing to production efficiency in a dynamic plant setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or related Engineering field with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Experience with Lean concepts and 5S is a plus.
• Exposure to welding, machining, or fabrication is desirable.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards and CAD software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update work instructions, routings and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods and perform time studies.
• Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
• Provide technical support to production personnel and assist with plant layout.
