Job summary

Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) is offering a summer internship for students pursuing Mechanical Engineering. Interns will work on assigned project tasks under the supervision of senior engineers and support the development effort.

You will assist with design changes, maintain documentation, develop test procedures, and gain exposure to DFA/DFM, tolerancing, and drafting standards. This hands-on role provides manufacturing floor exposure and real-world engineering experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Junior or Senior year or have taken relevant courses in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-2 years post high school education in area of specialization
• GPA: 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

• Know various parts production & assembly methods
• Generate hand sketches to communicate design ideas

• May be involved in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing products
• Provides task completion time estimates
• Become familiar with tools and applications utilized by department
• Assists with design or modification of a product, service, or process
• Some knowledge of design principles such as DFA, DFM, tolerancing, and drafting standards
• Some knowledge of various parts production & assembly methods
• Ability to generate hand sketches to communicate design ideas
• Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
