You will perform tasks such as creating part numbers in ERP, generating CAD models in SolidWorks, and assisting engineers on development and testing. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning in mechanical design and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Completed Sophomore year in ABET accredited mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience using SolidWorks.
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Create and enter new Part Numbers into ERP system.
• Generate CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform mechanical engineering duties (3D layout, light fabrication and assembly, testing and production support).
• Assist in component fabrication and testing.
• Work with Mechanical engineers to support design activities.
• Handle part design independently to completion.
• Work with digital vendors apps and software tools to support design for manufacturing.
• Write test protocols and perform product testing as required.
• Support analytical tools based on project requirements.
• Work productively both individually or as part of a team.

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to become a part of our exciting team! The applicant must be able to work approximately 24hrs per week. We are looking for an individual that would like to grow in an engineering or related design field. You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.

The purpose of the internship is to provide the student with supervised practice at the work site or in the office in the continuing daily operations of engineering and manufacturing. Engineering Interns will provide support through assisting in coordination and distribution of information required to complete projects on time, within budget, and to quality standard. The intern reports to a Senior Project Engineer or the Engineering Manager.
