Job summary

Metallus, located in Eaton, Ohio, invites engineering‑oriented students to join its summer internship program. Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by spring 2027.
• Must be a full‑time student attending an accredited two‑year or four‑year college/university.
• Preferred majors: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• Experience with PLC Controls, Robotics, or automation.
• AutoCAD & CAM experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with day‑to‑day technical support for production and maintenance activities.
• Support troubleshooting of equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in developing and updating work instructions.
• Participate in process improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Support small capital or continuous improvement projects, including design, planning, and execution.
• Work cross‑functionally with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Create and update technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
• Lead a process or equipment improvement project focused on increasing efficiency, reducing downtime, or improving product quality.

Internship Assignment: Full Time - Summer 2027
