Matrix Service Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to perform advanced design and analysis of industrial piping systems and to potentially lead project disciplines by coordinating internal and external resources. The role can be filled in Houston, TX; Tulsa, OK; or Pittsburgh, PA.

The position requires strong communication, adherence to safety and industry codes, and the ability to prepare project documents, equipment specifications, and vendor communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience with industrial equipment and piping systems.
• Understanding of NFPA 59A, ASME B31.1, B31.3, and ASME Section VIII preferred.
• Experience with piping design and equipment packages; valve selection knowledge.
• Proficiency with CAESAR II, AutoPipe or similar tools is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced design and analysis work for projects.
• Act as discipline lead for projects with internal/external resources.
• Prepare and manage scope, budget and schedule for projects.
• Create or modify equipment specifications and communicate with suppliers.
• Check for constructability, safety and quality; ensure proper documentation.
