M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with industrial piping design experience to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. You will design, analyze, and procure piping systems from concept through construction and commissioning.

The role requires collaboration with multiple disciplines, adherence to codes, and potential travel. Strong AutoCAD/3D software skills and a PE/EIT are valued. On-site work in a dynamic environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial piping engineering.
• Experience designing piping systems for process facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D design software (Plant 3D, CADWorx, Revit, Inventor).
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, B16 and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial process and utility piping systems for heavy industrial facilities.
• Perform calculations for pipe sizing, pressure drop, wall thickness, and flexibility.
• Develop layouts, isometrics, and piping support designs.
• Prepare piping material and valve specifications, line lists, and documentation.
• Coordinate layouts with equipment, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Review piping specs per industry codes and client requirements.
• Review vendor drawings for proper integration with project designs.
• Assist with procurement, bid evaluations, and vendor coordination.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and coordination meetings.
• Support construction, field inspections, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Ensure designs meet quality requirements and standards.
• Serve as Project Manager on small engineering projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget.
