Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to HVAC design, load calculations, and energy-efficiency projects. The role involves system selection, sizing, and documentation, with emphasis on compliance and clear technical reporting.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of HVAC design experience, with CEM/EIT preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP or Revit is advantageous for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHPD codes a plus.
• Experience with Energy-Pro and eQuest is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and Title 24 compliance calculations using Energy-Pro and eQuest.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Familiar with different HVAC system types and their applications
• HVAC systems selection, sizing and design (ductwork and piping)
• Experienced with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards
• Engineering experience with energy efficiency, developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services
• Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro and eQuest programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to write technical proposals and reports
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC Design
• CEM, EIT highly preferred
• Knowledge of OSHPD codes are a plus
• Computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus.
