Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our Rogers, AR team. You will lead the design of complex mechanical systems, prepare construction documents, and mentor staff while coordinating with clients and project managers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in design across industrial, multi-family, commercial, or similar sectors, with AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency and PE or EIT/LEED preferred. Salary ranges from $85,000 to $120,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural Engineering required.
• Five or more (5+) years of relevant industry-related experience, in design of industrial, multi-family (low- and high-rise), commercial, government, academic, R&D, and similar projects.
• Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, CHVAC/RHVAC, TraneTrace, and/or eQuest modeling software.
• EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
• Design, specify, and layout mechanical systems as applicable to the project type (including ductwork, piping, equipment, schedules, notes, etc.) according to company drafting standards.
• Create reports such as basis of designs, written narratives, field observations, letters to AHJs, etc.
• Responsible for more complex tasks and/or designs within project assignments.
• Resolves complex design issues with clients.
• Oversee designs through project construction/completion.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and the client.
• Conduct field observation visits to accurately document the existing field conditions and report on construction progress.
