Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
• Proficient with CAD tools SolidWorks and Siemens NX; Proficient with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS)

Responsibilities

• Involved with the design, fabrication and modification of mechanical/electro‑mechanical components, sub-systems or systems; evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements
• Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget
• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
• May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
• Report progress and status regularly
• Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs to support them, including cost as a design variable
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
• Support program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
• Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
• Communicate clearly with team and customer as required
• Attend engineering, customer or business meetings
