Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead design, analysis and development across multiple equipment lines. You will mentor junior engineers, review drawings and inspection results, and drive innovative problem solving while staying current with industry trends.

The role may involve remote project leadership and field installations, with travel between 5% and 15% of the time, and requires strong communication across internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree required (mechanical preferred); advanced degree beneficial.
• High proficiency with solid modeling software (Soldiworks) and analytical tools (ANSYS).
• Familiarity with RMS design applications and general office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and analysis of product designs meeting function, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety requirements.
• Mentor lesser-experienced engineers and lead remote projects.
• Review inspection reports and render engineering dispositions; develop new design approaches.
• Lead remote field installations/startups and travel up to 15%.
• Communicate effectively across all organization levels and with customers.
