Job summary

RTX in Goleta, California, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Electronic Warfare Mechanical Design Hardware Section. You will contribute to new product development and enhancements for digital processor and RF receiver subsystems on airborne platforms, with onsite work in Goleta.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, perform mechanical development, electronics packaging, and thermal/structural analyses, and support manufacturing and testing across programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in STEM completed by start date.
• Experience with GD&T and ASME drawing standards.
• Coursework or experience in mechanical design, CREO, and thermal/structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design RF systems for demanding thermal and high-vibration environments.
• Electronics packaging design and related mechanical work.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis, component design, and assembly processes.
