Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Receiver & Electronic Packaging section to design and package airborne radar subsystems.

You will develop mechanical concepts, produce 3-D models and drawings, support production and supplier fabrication, and work with RF, power, and enclosure components in a defense context.

A DoD Secret clearance is required, with relocation support for onsite employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM or equivalent with 5+ years in mechanical design.
• Experience with CAD tools for detailed layouts and documentation.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience supporting suppliers for unit components.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design across hardware lifecycle from concept to production.
• Design for airborne radar subsystems including RF, enclosure, and power components.
• Create 3-D models, 2-D drawings, and Change Notices; support design specs.
