Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design and analyze mechanical systems for power generation, renewables, BESS, and industrial infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through commissioning, delivering robust equipment layouts, P&IDs, and data sheets.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, a BS in mechanical engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. EIT is preferred; PE licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in power/ EPC projects.
• Experience with design, analysis, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, equipment specs, and vendor submittals.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; working knowledge of Plant 3D/Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for power generation, renewables, and BESS projects.
• Prepare layouts, GA drawings, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and specs.
• Perform mechanical calculations and material take-offs (MTOs).
• Support procurement packages and review vendor drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, process, and construction teams.
• Assist with construction startup, commissioning, and field verification.
