Job summary

Global Technical Systems (GTS) seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, and test mechanical systems for weapons and fuze development in our Huntsville, AL facility. You will provide original design inputs, perform analyses, and support cross-functional teams through product realization from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of mechanical engineering experience, BS in engineering, and strong CAD/FEA skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Nastran/Ansys).

Qualifications

• 3-7 years relevant engineering experience in a mechanical engineering discipline.
• BS/BA Engineering or Engineering Science required.
• Proficiency using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) and Finite Element Analysis software (Nastran, ANSYS).

Responsibilities

• Performs design and engineering activities for weapons, warheads, and fuze development.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to transfer ideas into core product processes.
• Manages multiple projects and reports status to maintain schedules.
• Provides technical inputs to development of complex mechanical engineering projects.
