Overview

Our client, a US Fortune 250 company and a global medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Mechanical Engineer II

Position: Mechanical Engineer II

Duration: 8 Month Contract with possible extension

Pay Rate: $70/hr - $85/hr (depending on experience)

Relocation Expenses/ Assistance: NO

Overview

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing components, mechanisms, systems, and finished products or equipment. This role applies mechanical engineering principles to solve standard engineering problems, translate requirements into designs, and support testing and analysis activities with moderate guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, mechanisms, systems, and products.
  • Translate internal and external customer or business requirements into basic specifications and designs.
  • Perform feasibility analyses to support design decisions.
  • Develop and execute test protocols with moderate guidance.
  • Independently test, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address design or performance issues.
  • Apply Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while demonstrating understanding of customer and business needs.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge and skills within the mechanical engineering discipline.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
  • Experience performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Expertise in Mechanical CAD tools, including SolidWorks, CREO, and ProE.
  • Strong background in feasibility analysis.
