Our client, a US Fortune 250 company and a global medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Product Development Engineer II
Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417
Work Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $55/hr – $65/hr (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: On-site

Job Summary
Provide technical expertise and engineering support for the design, testing, and development of new and existing products. This role is focused on supporting syringe product development through testing, data analysis, and product improvement initiatives. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure product quality, manufacturability, and compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and development activities for new and existing products
- Collaborate with lab teams to execute product testing
- Plan and define test strategies and methodologies
- Develop and execute test methods, including:
- Measurement equipment selection
- Test setup
- Measurement systems analysis (MSA)
- Data analysis
- Review and analyze test data to support engineering decisions
- Write detailed technical reports based on design verification testing and analysis
- Develop and improve test methods and test fixtures
- Coordinate with internal and external labs to manage test execution and reporting
- Analyze empirical test data and ensure alignment with product requirements and standards
- Support product quality, manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost improvement efforts
- Provide innovative solutions to technical challenges
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies and all local, state, and federal safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred)
- 2–4 years of engineering experience (preferably in medical devices)
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience with statistical tools and data analysis

- Hands‑on experience or strong understanding of Instron / Universal Testing Systems
- Data Analysis
- Proficiency in Minitab (required)
- Ability to interpret test results and support decision‑making
- Mechanical Design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, and 3D design (SolidWorks preferred)
