Job summary

BW Packaging in Fresno, CA is seeking aSenior Mechanical Engineer to develop advanced mechanical systems for form/fill/seal packaging machinery and related feed systems. You will lead design efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, 10+ years of experience, and expertise in CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university (OR an Associate’s Degree with a minimum 15 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or other technical position).
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility.
• Experience in materials, component selection, and general machine shop processes.
• Experience with increasingly complex machine and/or system design using state-of-the-art CAD and analysis tools (SolidWorks or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design responsibility for individual components to complete integrated machine systems
• Partner with customers and sales executives, other mechanical and electrical design engineers, manufacturing personnel, and customer service technicians
• Research and prepare specifications
• Develop and test prototypes
• Process documentation
• Train other engineers and technicians
• Project reporting, tracking, and organization
• Lead, facilitate, and manage continuous improvement initiatives
• Other responsibilities as needed
