Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking Mechanical Engineers to design, analyze, test, and support machinery across packaging and converting platforms. Roles are onsite at our Green Bay facility with onsite and hybrid options in Waukesha and Madison. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

You'll apply engineering principles, read blueprints and CAD models, and collaborate to deliver safe, cost-effective equipment enhancements and new functions. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 0–2 years for Mechanical Engineer I up to 8 years for IV in manufacturing/engineering.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor) is preferred.
• OEM design experience is a plus, especially in hygiene/roll converting industries.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts for new machine functions and upgrades.
• Create detailed designs and assembly drawings.
• Interface with suppliers to clarify system requirements.
• Support Purchasing in evaluating proposals and costs.
• Prepare BOMs and CAD layouts for moderately complex equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement procedures.
